Primary Building Update 6: 14th November, 2016

I am sure some of you have noticed the flag flying on our new primary school building. This flag signifies that the roof is on. It is with great excitement that we watch the project as it moves into its final stages with just weeks to go.  Our aim is to open the building (knowing we will still have some finishing touches to make) just before the end of the school year.

Primary Building Update 1

4th December, 2015 - Ground-breaking Ceremony

The ground-breaking ceremony was another exciting milestone for ISS and in particular, the primary school.  This means that work will begin throughout the holidays and as school begins in 2016, there will be a growing anticipation to see the building complete. Exciting times ahead.

Building Project Update 12

During the vacation work continued on our new building and we are hoping to start occupying the building in June. We are already planning a big ‘library-moving’ day when you will all be invited to school. Seeing how the building is coming together to link the primary and secondary sections of the school is very exciting and I know will add to our sense of community.

Building Project Update 14

22nd July, 2015 - The Grand Opening

Thank you to everyone who came to school on July 22nd to celebrate with us as we opened our new building. It is a great testament to everyone involved and only fitting that Mark Halabe, former Chair of Council, was our Chief Guest for the event. On behalf of our entire community I thank Ram Bali and Vinesh Chand for their leadership, building and financial, without them we would not have had a building to open. Please do feel free to come in and have a look around. You will find Joan and Salote on the second floor and they would be happy to give you a tour.

Building Project Update 11

27th October, 2014

Our building project continues and the final floor is nearly up. Wandering round the site last week I could see how the building unites the secondary and primary schools and will allow for easy movement between the two. The new central library, directly accessible from both primary and secondary, will allow ready access for all our students and the much needed cafeteria will allow our students to eat in comfort. I look forward to the opening of the building in the first semester of 2015.
