6th August, 2013:
Some changes have been taking place at ISS recently with the most dramatic being the demolition of E block. This is the first stage of our much-awaited building project. The move of the existing classrooms and staffroom from E block went smoothly with all classes and teachers being accommodated in existing, refurbished or specially-built rooms. The demolition of E block then took place during the three-week, winter holiday and when students returned to school at the beginning of this term they quickly settled into the new routine. Using the material from E block construction of a new storage shed behind the administration building started and is now nearing completion.
In terms of the planning application we are still awaiting approval of the outline building plan. That said, the main building plan is also lodged with Nasinu Town council and Town and Country Planning. As soon as we have received approval the earthworks will then begin.
